Since the 1980s, research into social interventions, social protection and the transformation of social and employment policies. This research analyses the processes of the constitution of the salaried society, after it was torn down after the mid-1970s, and clarifies the consequences of these dynamics on the social integration and status of the contemporary individual.
His latest work is La montée des incertitudes, Paris, Le Seuil (coll. « La couleur des idées »), 2009.
