Cèsar Coll i Salvador

PhD in Psychology and Professor of Evolutionary Psychology and Education at the University of Barcelona.
He has promoted and led research and work into the educational applications and implications of genetic theory, educational psychology intervention and orientation, school curriculum design and development, analysis of interaction processes in educational scenarios and assessment of school learning.
He has played an active role in a number of educational reform and innovation processes in Spain and further afield; in particular, in terms of aspects relating to the curriculum and educational psychology.
Amongst his publications, the following stand out: <i>Psicología y currículum</i> (Barcelona, Editorial Paidós, 1987), <i>Enseñanza, aprendizaje y discurso en el aula</i> (co-edited with D. Edwards, Fundación Infancia y Aprendizaje, 1997), <i>Psicología de la educación escolar</i> (co-edited with J. Palacios and A. Marchesi, Alianza Editorial, 2001) and <i>Aprender contenidos, desarrollar capacidades</i> (co-edited with E. Martín, Editorial Edebé, 2003).
His current interests are centred on analysis of educational discourse, learning communities and the impact of information and communication technology on education.
