Robert B. Kozma

International consultant on the use of technologies for educational reform, and social and economic development


Bio

Dr Robert Kozma is an expert in international educational technology research, media theory, the evolution of technology-based education reform and the design of advanced interactive multimedia systems. He began his career as an elementary mathematics teacher in the inner city of Detroit. He was on faculty at the University of Michigan for 20 years. He has consulted with the ministries of education in Thailand, Singapore and Chile, and with the Ford Foundation and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on the use of technology to improve educational systems. He is currently Principal Consultant at Kozmalone Consulting, and Emeritus Director and Emeritus Principal Scientist at SRI International’s Center for Technology in Learning.

He has authored or co-authored more than 75 articles, chapters, encyclopaedia entries and books on international ICT research, technology and educational practice. He has also designed several advanced multimedia and hypermedia educational software packages.
